DIDACT - NIHR Associate Principal Investigator Scheme
The DIDACT trial is comparing surgery and sling immobolisation in the management of adults with a displaced unstable fracture of the distal clavicle. This is a multi-centre, non- inferiority, randomised controlled trial funded by the National Institute for Health Research.
The NIHR Associate Principle Investigator Scheme is a six month training opportunity to provide practical experience for healthcare professionals starting their research career.
· Provides practical experience for healthcare professionals starting their research career.
· For people who would not normally have the opportunity to take part in clinical research in their day-to-day role.
· The chance to experience what it means to work on, and deliver, an NIHR portfolio study under the mentorship of an enthusiastic Local PI.
· Receive formal recognition of engagement in NIHR Portfolio research studies through the certification of Associate PI status, endorsed by the NIHR and Royal Colleges.
For queries about the new application form or the Associate PI Scheme, please email NIHR at associatepischeme@nihr.ac.uk or the DIDACT trial team at ytu-didact@york.ac.uk
