
BOTA Fellowship Grants
BOTA is pleased to announce we will be awarding Senior Orthopaedic Fellowship Grants in conjunction with the British Indian Orthopaedic Society (BIOS) amounting to £2000 in support for Senior Orthopaedic Trainees as they approach CCT. All fellowship grants are open for BOTA members with an NTN only.
We invite applications from BOTA members post FRCS for funding to undertake periods of additional specialist learning at sites either within the UK or overseas at one or more centres of excellence to gain further knowledge and experience within trauma and orthopaedic surgery. BIOS are particularly interested in supporting Orthopaedic Trainees of Indian origin currently training or practicing in the UK, or those intending to visit centres of excellence in India. Recipients of the BIOS Fellowship will normally commit to being a BIOS member if elligbible and presentation of a Fellowship Report at the BIOS annual meeting.
Review of applications will be conducted anonymously by the BOTA Committee to produce a shortlist of applicants to be invited to interview. Applications will be open until 1st of July. Candidates will be invited to interview with members of the BOTA and BIOS committee before announcing the final awards.
Half of the awarded funds will be transferred prior to undertaking your planned fellowship. The other half will be awarded on completion of your fellowship and submission of a "Fellowship Report" to the BOTA Secretary for inclusion in our annual JOINT Report.
