Paediatric ACL Audit

The British Association for Surgery to the Knee (BASK) steering committee released Best Orthopaedic Practice (BOAST) guidelines in 2022 to improve the management of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries in skeletally immature patients. As a response, a national audit has been initiated to evaluate adherence to recommended practices and identify areas for improvement.

This audit will focus on assessing and managing ACL injuries in children to ensure standardised, evidence-based care across the United Kingdom. We are looking for audit leads to participate in this national audit; auditors must register the audit locally and complete a short form, which will take less than 10 minutes to complete. All responses will be anonymous and solely for statistical purposes. No patient information will be stored. All audit leads will be named as collaborators on any future publications.

The audit will be conducted in June 2024 and conclude in July 2024,
