South Yorkshire

The South Yorkshire rotation benefits from being one of the smallest rotations in the country, allowing trainees to quickly integrate into the region and establish links in a tight-knit group of hospitals. All units offer excellent teaching and training opportunities with internationally recognised paediatric, arthroplasty and limb reconstruction units in the region.

The TPD team currently led by Mr.Wembridge, Mr.Tomlinson and Mr.Ali take the time to get to know individual trainees and their needs and allow opportunities for all to pursue their individual interests while maintaining an excellent teaching programme with regular mock examinations - invaluable for FRCS preparation.

Away from work, the cohesive nature of the rotation leads to regular social events, with the annual Registrar’s Day being the highlight. The rotation is ideally located for those who enjoy outdoor activities, with the Peak District on the door step.
