Rotation Highlights
The Royal London Rotation is one of the four training programmes in North East & Central London. It boasts excellent training, headed by our Training Programme Director Mr Kash Akhtar.
Trainees all have the opportunity to spend time at London’s busiest major trauma centre, where they can pick up invaluable skills in the management of polytrauma and damage control orthopaedics. The rotation also boasts a number of high-volume district general hospitals with excellent reputations for their elective work.
These hospitals are complemented by the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital at Stanmore, at which trainees can gain expertise in a tertiary referral centre for many complex conditions.
ABOUT THE REP
Nick Birkett
I’m currently an ST4 on the Royal London Rotation, working at Royal London Hospital. I spent my Foundation Training and Core Training in the region, so have a strong affinity and good working knowledge of the area. As BOTA regional representative for my rotation, I aim to be a contact point for any trainee concerns, and am proud to represent my peers at a national level.
