RA-UK Regional Anaesthesia Research PSP

Regional Anaesthesia UK

(RA-UK) is running a priority setting partnership looking to identify the most important research priorities in regional anaesthesia. As I’m sure you’re aware it’s vital that research addresses the questions practicing clinicians and patients want answered. The British Orth

opaedic Trainee Association has joined the organisations listed below in becoming a partner organisation for this project.

Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh)

Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists

College of Operating Department Practitioners

British Anaesthetic and Reco

very Nurses Association

Society of Bariatric Anaesthesia

British Elbow Surgery Society

Association for Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia and Critical Care

Association of Breast Surgery

British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society

British Orthopaedic Oncology Society

Society of British Neurological Surgeons

Society of Cardiothoracic Surgeo

ns

British Trauma Society

British Association of Day surgery

As orthopaedic trainees you look after many patients who have undergone regional anaesthetic techniques, your ideas on what questions research should address will therefore be vital. We would be grateful th

erefore if you would consider giving a small amount of your time to contributing to the project. The link below will take you to an online survey, which will ask you to submit up to 3 questions you think research should address. Following this initial survey the responses will be collated and examined. An interim prioritisation exercise will then be performed followed by a multi-disciplinary process to chose the top 10.
