NIHR Clinical Lecturer in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery
You will join our highly successful clinical Integrated Academic Training (IAT) Programme, the IAT programme is part of the National Institute of Health Research programme. Core duties of the post consist of research in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery, participation in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and clinical training at the University Hospital of Coventry & Warwickshire as part of the Warwick Programme of Higher Surgical Training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery. The post will count towards a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) and it is anticipated that you would gain CCT whilst in this post. It will be ideal preparation for future application for a Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor appointment.
You will be a highly motivated individual with (or soon to complete) a higher degree, who intends to pursue a career in Academic Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery. You will work within a successful and productive research group in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery so will need to demonstrate evidence of related research activity. An appropriate level of clinical knowledge is essential as are excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate must be able to be in post by 31 March 2016.
