The Wrightington Group is celebrating 60 years since Sir John Charnley first pioneers succesful arthroplasty of the hip at Wrightington Hospital. This innovation changed countless lives for patients around the world and resulted in the development of modern implants for the hip, knee, shoulder, elbow, ankle, wrist, fingers and toes.
The meeting aims to focus on developments in arthroplasty, and to discuss between subspecialties, with
experts from the broader multidisciplinary team, the shared challenges that face us in delivering successful and long-lasting joint replacement.
This meeting is a real opportunity to bring together leaders in arthroplasty from all disciplines for a face-to-face meeting with experts from around the world. The meeting will cover the scope of modern arthroplasty practice including, customisation, computer-aided planning and navigated surgery, the role of registries, common challenges of infection, and enhanced recovery.
Break-out sessions will give the opportunity for subspecialist groups to discuss issues particular to their interest and our industry partners will share their latest innovations.
