BOTA is hosting their second Sustainability in Orthopaedic Surgery Conference in June. This year we are teaming up with ORUK and want to make this year’s conference bigger and better. On the 22nd of June we will host a virtual, free-to-attend event discussing all things sustainability. We have more wonderful speakers who will be discussing their experiences in Sustainability in Surgery, hopefully inspiring you to get involved and try to help make our workplace a more sustainable place to be. We will also be having a poster hall and presenting your sustainability project abstracts. The best abstracts will also be invited to present their work at the conference!
ORUK also funding an exciting opportunity for anyone wanting to fund a sustainability project. There is £1500 up for grabs as a seed fund for the lucky winner to fund their research. The competition for the seed fund is open and we are accepting applications. Projects will be marked and the best projects will be asked to present on the day; Dragon’s Den style! This is not an opportunity to be missed.
Make sure you get the 22nd of June in the diary. Come and hear from our amazing speakers, including Professor Eastwood!
