You are invited to attend the Preparation for FRCS (Tr&Orth) Course at University College London Hospitals. The emphasis of this national course is on technique and aims to provide a framework early in a trainee's preparation for understanding the nature of the FRCS (Tr&Orth) exam, develop strategies for optimising revision and for maximising scoring in the Viva and Clinical Examinations. In addition it offers a chance to network with fellow candidates taking the Examination. We have had very positive feedback from previous years. The course has been awarded Royal College of Surgeons of England accreditation.
The strong teaching Faculty consists of Consultants from a number of regions and includes FRCS Examiners, who will attend to lecture on the structure and format of the examination. The course is open to all Trauma and Orthopaedic trainees and is targeted at levels ST6-ST8s who are at least six months from taking the Clinical component of the Exam. The outstanding venue of The Education Centre, University College Hospital, Euston Road, central London, has excellent transport links.
The novel course design was initiated by UCL Partners and has support from Training Programme Directors for their trainees to attend. The course is heavily subsidised with a fee of only £100 paid on registration. Refreshments will be provided.Availability is limited in order to maintain good Faculty to trainee ratios; book early.
