Nottingham FRCS (T&O) Revision Course

Statistics Course 6th Sept 2020: The course will consist of presentations, MCQ tests, problem solving and group viva. Topics include data and distribution of data; key statistical principles; epidemiology; error, bias and randomisation; sensitivity and specificity; statistical tests; studies and trials; survival analysis.

Basic Science Course 7th to 9th Sept 2020: A 3 day course for Year 3-5 Specialist Registrars in Orthopaedic Surgery preparing for the FRCS(T&O) Examination. The course will consist of interactive lectures, EMQ, MCQ examination and small group vivas. Topics include implant choice; treatment of infection; osteoporosis; fractures; nerve injury and healing; biomechanics and biomaterials; spines; muscle; bone grafts; cartilage and osteoarthritis; orthotics and prosthetics (amongst others).
