Fellowship Description
The fellowship is in a private multidisciplinary MSK clinic that treats a wide range of elite sports as well as amateur sports and general orthopaedic patients. The clinic has over 50 Orthopaedic Surgeons, MSK Radiologists, Rheumatologists and Sports Physicians. It is a 6-month fellowship that currently commences on 1st January and 1st July each year although this could change to February / August if required.
The fellowship is predominantly theatre-based but with free sessions for research, independent study and opportunities to learn from other Fortius Clinicians.
There are opportunities for surgical assistance within private operating sessions for knee ligament reconstruction, arthroplasty and other types of knee surgery. Experience of complex case management will also be provided. There are no on-call commitments.
Scope of Practice
Knee arthroscopy, meniscal repair and meniscectomy, repair and reconstruction of all knee ligaments, extra-articular tenodeses, MPFL reconstruction and patellar realignment, chondral surgery, TKR, UKR, Tibial and Femoral osteotomy.
