Multi-professional damage control training course with generic decision-making and procedural skills training, applicable regardless of professional background. The operative training is based on orthopaedic damage control.
Day 1: simulation training and short lectures on the management of major trauma. There will be plenty of discussion around real-life scenarios.
Days 2: cadaveric surgical skills on orthopaedic damage control. Breakout sessions for anaesthetists
Aimed at ST7/8 and consultants Orthopaedics, EM, Anaesthetics plus ODPs & scrub staff
