Cambridge Trauma Resuscitation (CTR) Symposium – Beyond ATLS

All members of trauma team

The Willow Training Centre Wyboston Lakes Resort, Great North Road, Wyboston, Bedfordshire, MK44 3AL

This one-day symposium uses a case-based learning approach to review the up-to- date Emergency Department management of major trauma patients.

The Trauma Resuscitation Symposium has evolved from our popular and highly rated Damage Control Resuscitation courses. The programme covers all aspects of primary assessment, resuscitation and immediate care and provides an opportunity for delegates to immerse themselves in a range of trauma patient presentations and make real-time critical decisions regarding trauma resuscitation.

Delegates are presented with cases and invited, using audience participation technology, to make recommendations and decisions regarding priorities for care and interventions. Each option is then explored in interactive discussion.

The symposium incorporates:

  • Traumatic Cardiac Arrest on arrival.
  • Identifying and managing the shocked patient.
  • Transfusion decision making and challenges.
  • Implementing neuroprotective strategies.
  • Damage control strategies

The symposium has been approved for 6 CPD hours by RCSEd
