After weeks of the BOTA Link-men and women canvasing option from their regions across the UK, we have our final three nominees. Each nomination read like an exert from a textbook entitled “The Exemplar Trainer – A How To Guide” and so it was a tricky shortlisting process. Each nomination was scored (anonymously, mind you) by TPDs, the Chair of the SAC, the BOTA committee and the BOA’s own educationalist. Words like “inspirational” and “humbling” abounded as the scores flooded in.

It is therefore with huge amount of pride that I can announce this year’s Top 3 Trainers are (in no particular order), Ms Deborah Eastwood of the Pott rotation, North East Thames; Mr Davis Woods of the Severn rotation and Mr Ronald Langstaff of North West Thames.

The story doesn’t end there though; these three superlative trainers have one final hurdle – the interview. Each of these brave souls have agreed to be interviewed by a panel and it is this, combined with their shortlisting scores, that will decide the over all winner.

The winner will not find out if they have won until the BOTA Educational Congress, 16-19th June 2016, Hinckley Island; yet another reason to attend this outstanding event!

We wish all the nominees congratulations on having been identified as excellent trainers and wish the final three the best of luck.
