London Hip Meeting 28th April 2010

The London Hip Meeting is acknowledged as one of the most important orthopaedic meetings of the year for Consultants and Senior SpR’s.  National and international hip experts will gathe r to present the very latest thinking on current controversies, new developments and future technologies relating to total hip replacement.

The thrust of the programme is as follows:

The first session will be on pre arthroplasty surgery and avoiding osteoarthritis.  There will then be a session on the bearing surface and technological advances.  There will be a session on avoiding complications in total hip replacement that will include thromboembolic prophylaxis.  We will have a session on outcomes and economics.  Then we will have a session on revision focusing in particular on peri prosthetic fractures and massive bone loss.
