A practical wet lab based training course ideally suited to the trainee surgeon/registrar (Years 4 – 5) who is already familiar with the basics of reconstructive hip and knee surgery but would welcome further tips and tricks to further develop their technique. The two day course will provide one day focusing on the hip and the other day on the knee and will incorporate classroom learning with hands on wet lab sessions at The Surgical Skills Centre in York. This facility offers a 14-station laboratory which allows practice and observation of alternative techniques, as well as an 82-seat lecture auditorium to hold various discussions. With three attendees and one faculty member per workstation it is sure to provide an excellent opportunity to further surgical knowledge and technique in lower limb arthroplasty.
