If you have recently joined BOTA, your email address may not yet be on our database.
In case of membership enquiries please contact Claire Wilson of the BOA
There are three ways to join BOTA:
Anyone holding an NTN (SpR or ST) in Trauma and Orthopaedics is eligible to join the British Orthopaedic Association as an Associate Member. This includes full membership of BOTA.
Subscription fee starts at £160 per year (discounted trainee rate). This membership fee is tax deductible. Visit the BOA website to join now
If you have any queries please contact the BOA Membership Secretary or phone on 020 7406 1762.
Anyone holding an NTN (SpR or ST) in Trauma and Orthopaedics is also eligible to join BOTA as a full member without joining the BOA.
Subscription fee is £40 annually.
This new category of membership is available to all other qualified doctors in approved training programmes (ie FY, CT or non-RTT ST). You do not need a training number to be a junior member.
A statement of support is required from the educational supervisor.
Subscription fee is £30 annually
A Junior Members Representative (without voting rights) will represent Junior BOTA Members on the BOTA committee, as an invited member. This post will be elected each year at the BOTA AGM from 2011 by a vote of Junior BOTA members, in the same manner as the other posts on the BOTA committee. Junior BOTA Members will have no other voting rights on Committee or within the AGM/EGM.
Please contact the BOTA secretary if you wish an exceptional application to be considered.
Once trainees obtain a National Training Number in Trauma and Orthopaedics, they should inform the BOA Membership Secretary and their membership can be upgraded from Junior to Full BOTA membership.
