The 1st September 2016 saw the introduction of the Scottish Trauma and Orthopaedic Trainees Symposium (STOTS), a national day of orthopaedic registrar teaching which took place at the Dunblane Hydro. The event was a success and has already secured funds and support from SCOT for its continuation in 2017. The baton will be passed onto successive Scottish BOTA Representatives who will  take the responsibility for working closely with the SCOT Committee for the organisation of this annual event.

On the second September 2016, the ‘Lost Tribe’ audit was presented at the Summer SCOT committee meeting. The audit was met with interest and some difficult questions were served up for me. However, BOTA and all of the collaborators can take pride from the Second Prize awarded. A fantastic achievement showing what can be accomplished when working together for the bigger goal.
